Planting seed in moist soil, at proper depths, with good soil-to-seed contact and proper soil coverage over seed will result in improved germination earlier and even emergence and overall healthier plants throughout the growing season.
Optional mud bars prevent plugging in wet conditions.
A 20' tongue allows end row turns without interference with tillage tools.
Each individual gang features the 24" diameter Sterling Packer Wheel (68 lbs. each) mounted on
1 1/2" shaft at 7" spacing. This firms soil between wheels yet allows a ridge to help prevent wind and water erosion, saves moisture and makes a firm seed bed. This ridge does not cause uneven seed depth by the planting equipment.
Each rolling conditioner unit is 20" in diameter with 14 - 1" diameter rods on 1/2" bulkheads, rolling on 1 3/4" pillow block bearings.
